Most affordable "Psychology" Masters and Doctoral programs Online

I am looking for an online distance learning Masters or Doctoral level program that is very affordable, say $6 - 8k USD or less for the entire degree.

1- So, the cost is important


2- It has to be in a field that is considered "psychology", something to do with human mind or behavior.


3- I will use this to help me in a position of leading a spiritual group, and in a private health-focused practice of mine. I wont need to be a licensed therapist, I wont be teaching in a university, wont need a highly accredited school (and tens of thousands of $ in debt).

4- The higher the degree the better, so I prefer a doctoral one for the amount $ mentioned above, but a Masters is ok (second best option)

These degrees, at that price, are found at South African universities, mostly UNISA. Otherwise, look at Nations University and University of the People.

 

University of the People - no Doctorates, only Master's program is MBA. No psychology (or closely related) programs at any level. Public Health at associate's and bachelor's only. I believe in this school - but it doesn't appear to offer degrees the OP is looking for. Low-cost? South Africa, definitely. India also. Be careful. Universidad Central de Nicaragua? They're pretty inexpensive, they instruct in English and their degrees are "real" - at least knowledgeable members on-ground in Nicaragua have posted so - and I've read at least one member here who has had good recognition of his UCEN doctorate.

Oops. Forgot Nations. Only two Master's programs - MTS (Master of Theological Studies) and M. Div. (Master of Divinity). That's as close as they get to psychology. Well, the OP said something about spiritual setting, so maybe... No doctorates whatsoever.

Just Checked - Universidad Central de Nicaragua offers four Psychology MA degrees - focus in Business Psychology, NLP Psychology, Coaching Psychology - and Psychotherapy and Health. Only fee quote I could find in a hurry was $2,000 per semester for overseas students. I think it applies to distance programs. Not positive of that. I'm sure if you enquired...

Divinity does sound good, and i am open to that. I am not picky about the field, as long as it is affordable, under 6 or 7k and gives me a Doctoral level degree <- I prefer this.

Nothing against UNISA or about 18 other South African Universities. I'm leaving out the technical /specialized ones. Not this poster's field. Not sure they all offer distance programs but some definitely do. However, one of those four Master's programs at Universidad Central de Nicaragua is still within the budget, if completed in two years.

Curious about one thing. OP asks for Master's or preferably Doctoral program. How does he propose to enter a Doctoral program without a Master's - that's the usual requirement. :question: :question:
