Curious to hear from some recent doctoral students of Fielding U. I found some older threads and was hoping to learn a little more from someone who has been there or is currently attending this school.

I earned my MSN from Indiana State University online 5 years ago and am looking to move back towards where my first undergraduate degree in Developmental Psych. I excelled with the online program and even got my master's thesis published in a peer reviewed journal. I know I would do well with an intensive online program like Fielding's.

My interest is either in Media Psychology or Human and Organizational Systems. I am not seeking to obtain licensure and am more geared towards a future in teaching at the university level.

    Thanks in advance.

Fielding has enjoyed a consistently good reputation, at least on this board, and the only hit it ever takes is related to the price tag of it's programs.

The price tag is mostly what's holding me back from applying. They ask rigorous questions for the doctoral applicants and I don't want to spend time on all that only to back out due to inability to pay for classes.

The theory being that someone who can afford Fielding can afford Saybrook?

And likewise the vice versa theory … :wink1:

My understanding is that they have a good reputation but are very expensive. I would definitely assess potential return on investment.

Fielding has a very good reputation on this board. Fielding is the only school offering a distance learning doctorate in psychology that has professional accreditation byn the American Psychological Association, which might be very useful when you take your statev licensure exams.

Thank you for the replies! I'm going to seek out other options at this point. :)
