St. George’s University Lands $750M Investment Deal (Melissa Korn, At Work blog, The Wall Street Journal, August 8, 2014) Via a valuemd post by azskeptic.

St. George's University in Grenada was the first private medical school in the Caribbean, and today includes large schools of medicine and veterinary medicine, a graduate school of biomedical, public health, and management fields, and an undergraduate school. Almost all of what they do is B&M (they do have a hybrid MBA), but they're probably the best-known name in the disruptive category of Caribbean medical schools largely serving expatriate students.

They probably are, but I'm not sure that the category is really "disruptive". St. George's has been around since 1977, so more than 35 years. Over that time, it's certainly found a niche, but it hasn't "disrupted" traditional US or Canadian medical education, which continues pretty much as usual.

    That's certainly fair comment.
