Creighton University has offered a hybrid limited-residency first professional Doctor of Pharmacy degree since 2001. Thirteen years later, a second U.S. pharmacy school enters the field: LECOM School of Pharmacy to Offer Online Pharm.D. Degree.

LECOM is the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine; its home campus is in in Erie, PA but this program is based at its campus in Bradenton, FL. LECOM School of Pharmacy is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education, the recognized accreditor in the field.

Note that between this pathway to pharmacy being rare and LECOM's first cohort being 24 students, admission can be expected to be highly competitive.

That's cool, but I bet Texas students are prohibited from enrolling. Unless the school sets up the internships, Texas students aren't allowed to attend any out-of-state, distance education programs with some kind of internship or practicum.

This is interesting. Is there a fuller definition of what comprises the school "setting up" the internships or practicums?
