I am looking for a friend of my wifes, a nurse's aide and single mother with 2 kids that is inquiring about distance degrees for LPN/LVN or RN.

From what I have seen, there are no distance LPN/LVN degrees. I followed 2 links from a message posted last year to two programs, and both links were dead.

It seems like the only place I have found that they even have associate online degrees is Excelsior.

Is this pretty much the way things are? Or are there any online LPN/LVN degrees?

    thanx in advance.

    The best I can do

I know Athabasca University in Alberta, Canada offers a Bachelor of Nursing Degree (by DL I believe) for people who have completed a two year college RN program.

I think that Texas Tech has some online nursing. I am not sure about a whole program.
    Here is their web site

I haven't looked through it, but it might be a place to start.

There is only one Associates in Nursing I am aware of and one possible:

    Excelsior College

the possible one is Northwestern Michigan University

As for a Bachelors in Nursing, there are several and have no residency requirements:

California State University, Dominguez Hills completion program, 124 credits.

Clarkson College 130 credit requirement, $289/credit hour.

    Duquesne University

Lakeland University (Ontario) $133/ credit hour.

Thomas Edison State College 120 credits.

University of Wyoming 120-124 credits and $135/ credit.

    Hope this helps your friend!
