Good Morning, Seeking a program with some potential for scholarship for a family member. Costs will greatly exceed reimbursement from employer. Ideas greatfully excepted. Many thanks. Hille

What NP sub-specialty are you looking for? Family? Peds? Adult?

Hi, School NP and Education of Nurses is what she is seeking. Looks like the new trend will be no school nurse and NP to take care of students. Thanks. Hille

I've never heard of a "school nurse practitioner". Most of the old-timer school nurses I knew of were "just" RN's. Also, haven't school nurses gone the way of the dodo bird as a profession?

Good Morning, Many students do not have health care so an on site NP will be a answer to some of the issues. Thanks. Hille

I absolutely agree with that. I am just wondering whether schools still have them. In my area, most school nurse programs got cut years ago due to budget constraints.
