I could have sworn there was an online Psych program at nmsu and now..it's simply not there? Am I thinking of some other program? Am I just insane? Was it announced and I missed it? I was considering this program.

NMSU used to have an online MA in Experimental Psychology, but they mothballed the program because of several factors including cost and lack of qualified applicants. I don't remember seeing a Human Factors degree through them, but then again, it has been about 4-5 months since I've looked at their programs.

Yes it's gone. University of Idaho still has a Masters in Human Factors. It's through their Engineering Outreach program and can be completed online. The only option available to online students is the non-thesis option. The Naval Post Graduate school has a distance learning certification in Human Systems Integration, 4 courses completed in a one year cohort.

At one time I was heading for a career in human factors but ended up in aerospace engineering (where I still use my human factors experience along with a couple of graduate courses). It used to be that human factors.ergonomics were covered by psychology departments but now Human Factors or Ergonomics tend to be in engineering departments.

ERAU as on on-line degree that covers human factors (specialization #6):
Master of Aeronautical Science, Graduate Degrees, Worldwide Campus, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University
