Hi everyone! My husband is considering going back to school and was thinking about looking into Pharmacy.

Does anyone know of any reputable Pharmacy programs (at the BS level) that are online?

    Thanks!

First, I am not sure what a BS in Pharmacy will get you. Second, here is the only online PharmD program that I heard of - Pharmacy Departments

Unless you were grandfathered in from a while ago, you can no longer practice pharmacy with just a BS. You need a PharmD.

You will probably come across many online "working PharmD" programs. These are for pharmacists that are already working and have the BS, but now want to upgrade their skills to the new requirements.

Some schools also have "distance" programs. These are offered at alternate locations from the main campus, but are not "online." You still have to show up in a classroom. UF has these in Jacksonville, Orlando, and St. Pete. Off-Campus Doctor of Pharmacy (First Professional Degree)

In a nutshell, Creighton has the most "online" pharmD program around.

One of my best friends just graduated from the distance learning pharmacy program with the University of Florida in Orlando. I am sure he would highly recommend it, and has accepted a position with Walgreens in Orlando.

When it comes to the PharmD, which is now required to practice pharmacy, the only "start from scratch" distance learning program is at Creighton. Gaining entry to the program is extremely competitive.
