Young lady friend is looking for Veterinary Assisting/Veterinary Technology programs at the level of the one-year certificate or the two-year associate's. My off-the-top-of-my head list was as follows.

Ashworth University www.ashworthuniversity.edu Certificate in Veterinary Assisting
Penn Foster College www.pennfostercollege.edu Certificate, Veterinary Assistant and AS Veterinary Technician
Purdue University www.purdue.edu AS Veterinary Technology
Saint Petersburg College www.spcollege.edu AS Veterinary Technology

Does anyone else have any other ideas to add?

Cedar Valley College, part of the Dallas County Community College District, offers a veterinary technology. DEVTP is the only AVMA-accredited, AAHA-recommended veterinary technology program available, according to the online brochure. This is probably one of the better programmes that should be on your young friend's shortlist.
