Has anyone here ever taken a class in neurobiology? This is a terrible question to ask, but it is possible to have struggled through BIO101 and perhaps still be able to master the information contained in such a course? (or is there no hope LOL) I'd like some feedback before I have to choose next semester courses. THANKS

I've never taken a Neuoanything course but I'm thinking that Bio101 isn't sufficient prep. What are the prerequisites? I'll bet you're going to have to take that most dreaded of college courses: Organic Chemistry!!!

    Kizmet,
Only BIO101 is the suggested (not prereq) preparation. It's for a possible psych concentration (not required, but available). I had one person tell me neurobiology was doable because it was more specific- while bio101 is very general covering a wide range of topics (amen!) so I'm turning to my knowledgeable board for advice!

I would take a look at some online resources, such as the Wikipedia entry on Neurobiology as well the MIT OCW site for Cellular Neurobiology. If after viewing these and other resources, you think the course is doable, then go for it!

    Good Luck!
