I'm looking for an RA school which offers individual (not as part of a degree program) online grad-level psychology courses. I'd much prefer a PSY prefix as opposed to counseling, human services, etc., and lower cost would be nice also.

I'd also like to stay away from the hard-sell schools (we know who they are) that well pester me into my old age to sign on for an entire degree program. :D

    Peru State - Grad certs

Hi Bruce, Check out the grad. certificates offered. You may find a course that fits your needs. My husband just finished his first one and it was a success with good on line support. Hille www.peru.edu

    Hi Bruce,

I know you said you prefer a PSY prefix, but I know Phoenix has an online continue ed grad course in Adolescent Psychology. It has an EDU prefix, but the course title is clearly about psychology.

Virginia Tech has an online course in Educational Psychology, but it is called "Learning Theories for Instructional Design" and has an EDCI prefix. It probably doesn't fit your needs, but I thought I'd share anyway.

I can't say anything for these two schools, but they came up via Peterson's Guide. The first is Saybrook Graduate School. From looking at their courses, they too lack the PSY prefix, but have a few courses which specifically mention psychology.

Another school is the University of Massachusetts at Lowell. They do not have a specific graduate program for psych, but have some psych related courses that seem to have to do with criminal justice. Given your prior degrees, you may want to look at them to see if they'd be worthwhile.

The university of west alabama offers psychology grad courses with the Py prefix as opposed to Psy. Courses are $924 a pop.

The Psychologist Prescribing Register offers courses in the area of Psychopharmacology. "fees for each of the Series One or Two Course (including materials, test scoring and I.D.# Registration): Series One - $250. Series Two (and each additional course, which includes New Mexico State University Regionally Accredited Academic Credits on Transcript), = $350. Total 1&2 Courses = $600." If the courses are worth 3 RA credits each, this may be a nice deal.
