Hi everyone, I tried to search the old threads about this, but keep getting a fatal error message, so I'm reaching out! One of our new faculty this year also brought his spouse, who was working on her master's in Social Work. She'd like to see about transferring her credits and completing this through an online program, and I volunteered to help her search for possible schools. Any ideas out there? And if so, do all MSW programs require some kind of internship/clinical component? If so, that part of it might be tough for her to do from here. Cheers, Adrienne
Florida State University offers an online M.S.W. with the option of doing the practicum in the student's home area; http://learningforlife.fsu.edu/online/prospective/graduateprograms/socialwork.cfm
re: FSU On-Line MSW Apparently there are limited areas where one can do this degree. There must be an approved "area coordinator". All of the sites are in the South or Montana, ND or SD. http://csw.fsu.edu/onlinePrograms.php In addition: Please be advised that this program is only for students who have earned a BSW from a Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) accredited Institution OR students interested in transferring from a two-year Traditional CSWE accredited MSW program who have completed their first year of studies to include a generalist field placement http://csw.fsu.edu/index.php?clickLink=online-offcampus-overview
