Hello all: I need some help for one of my students that I advise. She is looking for a DL BA/BS in Human Services. She has looked at U of P (but very pricy). I'm sure there is something else out there which won't cost $500/hr. Thanks for the assist. Shawn
Hi Shawn, Have your student look into the following schools: Upper Iowa University - BS in Human Services. Tuition is $283/credit for online courses and $227 for correspondence courses. Indiana State University - BS in Community Health Promotion. Tuition is $220/credit. New Mexico State University - Bachelor of Human and Community Services. Tuition is $191.25/credit ($176.25 + $15 DL fee). I'm sure there are other programs out there. This was just a sampling. To perform an exhaustive search, copy and paste the following search string in Google: bachelor "human services" "online degree" OR "distance learning" site:.edu - Tom
Hi Shawn - In addition to those listed above, I think that Ashford and Bellevue also have Bachelors programs in Human Services.
Thanks for the help - I have e-mailed to my student the URL for this thread. IMHO she will do very well in a DL program. Single mom with 2 kids, works full-time, full-time student, 4.0 GPA. I was thinking TESC, but they don't do human services. I'll continue to welcome any suggestions for her. Thanks again. Shawn
TESC does offer a BS in Human Services with about 12 to 15 concentrations. Here is the link: http://www.tesc.edu/prospective/undergraduate/degree/bshus.php

Shawn ... it seems that you are very happy with Capella ... would you be interested in being interviewed? Send me a PM if you want more info ... thanks!
Thanks again, My student has been lurking on this thread - and she is trying to decide between Human Services and Human Resources. Again, thanks for the assist from everybody! Now I got midterms to grade... Shawn
