Does anyone know of any doctoral programs in epidemiology that can be completed online? I know Walden University offers one such program, but this has been the only I have been able to locate. I wish to keep my options open in case I am not admitted or dislike the program offered at WU. I know of several schools which offer Ph.d programs in health science (Touro University International, Virginia Commonwealth, Nova Southeastern which offers a DHSc.). However, none of these schools offer a specialization epidemiology. Does anyone know of any schools in the U.S. or abroad that offer a doctoral program in epidemiology that can be completed via distance learning?
I suggest that you look at the Dept. of Public Health (sorry, I know it's not Epidemiology) at the University of Melbourne. I believe the Doctoral program will satisfy your stated requirements. Jack
I don't know of another online school for epi. I am enrolled in the epi program at Walden. I have 2 more clasees after this quarter and my dissertaion and I will be done. I love the program. They are regionally accredite and have been accepted by CEPHA to apply for accredation and are getting the self-study under way. Many of the students enrolled in the program work at the CDC in Atlana and they are pleased with the program as well. Wanda
I thought CDC only accepted ASPH accredited programs only? Wow, it nice to know the feds accept this program. I have thought of enrolling, but the cost is quite high. I would have to rely totally on student loans and I dont want to do such a thing. Also, other costs such as the residencies are high. Are paying for this program via your employer?
