  1. Hello all

I have been accepted into Bellevue's MHA program. I am very close to enrolling, but I would like to know I have not missed any MHA (mostly online) degrees.

The program must meet the following qualifications:

    1. Either an MHA, MSHA, MHSA, or even a MBA in Health Services

    2. Nothing over 20K

    3. Somewhat quick...nothing over 30 months

    4. Regionally Accredited

    5. Mostly online

    6. Not a Walden, UofP, Capella, Kaplan school

If anyone knows of a program that fits most of these qualifications please post. :)

    Thanks again

When you say "6. Not a Walden, UofP, Capella, Kaplan school" do you mean "for profit". There's nothing wrong with any of those schools, unless you know something that I don't.

Not-for-profit Baker College has an online MBA program in Healthcare Management.

St. Joseph's College of Maine has an MHSA degree.

You should also check out the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey's distance masters programs.

    Good luck.

Matt - if you're still on these boards, what did you eventually decide? Which other programs made your shortlist?

I am in now in a similar position to you were at the time you strated this thread. I'm spending countless hours researching online for a MHA or MBA with health concentration. So far, I'm favoring St Joseph's College of Maine or Touro International University.

Bellevue appealed also, but as I'm working full-time, the profiessional practicum that they require was the problem.

The Healthcare MBA at University of Colorado - Colorado Springs also seems like a good program, but it requires a GMAT.

This might not be what you were looking for but this is George Washington University's MBA in Healthcare

    http://www.mbahc.info/

They don't list the cost so it might be pricey

    Thanks Iqagmire,

I did come across GWU previously. Their main website lists their graduate tuition at $924 per credit hour.

How do you find Baker? They offer a MBA with Healthcare concentration. 50 hours are required, which means it would take slightly longer to complete than some of the other programs I was considering, but the cost is very reasonable.

Correction - after looking at Baker's website, their classes run for 6 weeks, meaning taking one class at a time, a MBA with healthcare concentration could take around 18 months. Nice :D

Also, it might be 50 credits but each class is four credits (they are quarter hours and not semester hours).

Baker is fine. I got my BBA from there and didn't have any complaints. I did start Nova's MBA but the tuition was killing me so I switched. I liked Nova's program as well - But one class every 6 weeks is very appealing.

This might not be the program you are looking for.. but thought it might help you in case and others..

    Hello,

You may wish to look into the online MBA program at National University. They offer a specialization in Health Care Administration. $1044/course, 14 months to complete, one course per month (except for the capstone course which is two months in length). National is an RA school (but not AACSB) located in California.

    Good luck!

P.S. If your employer offers tuition reimbursement contigent upon grades, National will defer your tuition until 45 days after the semester ends. I am taking full advantage of this offer! BTW, textbooks are not included in the deferral.

I'm finishing up my MBA... Anyone know if any of the MHA programs accept MBA credits. It would nice to pick up a second masters with just a few more classes. Ok, maybe I'm dreaming! :p

Too bad "regionally accredited" was among the thread-starter's requirements; and that "nationally accredited" would not have sufficed. For overall flexibility, potential speed and relative ease of completion and, most importantly, lowless of price, Ashworth College's Master of Healthcare Administration has no rival... that is, I repeat, as long as regional accreditation isn't required, and national accreditation will suffice.

It only costs $4,889 for the whole enchalada... payable in a lump sum for those with nothing better to do with their money; or payble monthly, for those who have, at $99 down, then $99/mo for 48 months, then a final payment of $38... no interest anywhere in the mix. Beat that for an accredited Master of Healthcare Administration pretty much anywhere else!

Ashworth is oft underestimated. It isn't more than it is, of course... I'm not saying that; and it's only nationally accredited... that should never be forgotten. But I see that as its only potential impediment, given its unbelievably low cost and other relative qualities.

    Just an opinion, mind you.
