The term paper "service" on Shiela's website is really quite insidious

It's bad enough that this "service" has 25,000 "pre-written" essays for sale at $10 a page. But if you need a very specific one that they don't offer, they'll write it for you, for "only" $20 page -- or, if you need it by first thing tomorrow morning, $60 a page, five page minimum.

I wonder if all the decent schools that are paying Shiela real money to advertise on this site know about the company they keep?

PS: Their section on pre-written Ethics papers lists more than 100 titles.
Author/co-author: 15 editions of Bears Guide to Earning Degrees by Distance Learning (10 Speed Press/Random House)
Degree Mills: the billion-dollar industry that has sold more than a million fake diplomas (Prometheus Books)
Finding Money for College, and 20+ other books on consumerism, cooking, computers, and bestsellers.

I wonder where they got all these essays. Do they have a whole staff of writers churning out essays on every subject? Do they buy essays from college students who wrote them for classes? Or what?

It's very sad that such gross dishonesty isn't illegal.

    John,

Why is Sheila's testimonial listed in the 15th Edition?

I believe it is the practice of these operations to purchase term papers, essays, dissertations, and the like from authors. Purchasers who later get caught for plagiarism generally do so because the professor recognizes the work (or runs it through software that does), as opposed to because the purchaser cannot demonstrate he/she wrote the paper. (Although I'm sure that sometimes happens as well.)

I have just been scanning through my 15th edition of Bears' Guide and can't seem to find anything about MIGS in it. MIGS was mentioned in the 14th edition and the listing begs for an update.

It seems that the MIGS saga would be a natural one to include in the Guide (one of the more interesting stories in the world of DL).
