The 'Chronicle of Higher Education' is reporting that the California State University review of Armando Arias' simultaneously holding the presidency of MIGS and a full-time deanship at CSU Monterey Bay has reached a conclusion.

Although the conclusions are described as confidential, reportedly Dr. Arias has been told by CSU to sever all of his his ties with MIGS. It is also stated that Arias will continue on as dean at Monterey Bay until the end of the current semester, then revert to a regular faculty position. It isn't clear if this change of position (a demotion?) is directly related to the MIGS affair.

There's also an interesting line in the story saying that some unnamed attorney for MIGS (humm...) is saying that reports that Arias held MIGS' presidency are mistaken.
