Degree.com appears to be moving. Not only has a mirror site has been created at: http://www.ceugraduate.com , but all of the links on the Degree.com homepage currently take you to a page under the ceugraduate.com domain.

Aside from the Registrant (and even that has Sheila’s imprimatur), all roads lead to Ft. Lauderdale. This is sharp contrast to the information for Degree.com (the latest incarnation, anyway) in which every contact was the address in Mexico.

Will Degree.com weather the storm and make it safely into port? Is Captain Sheila taking a firmer grasp of the tiller as the rats begin to abandon a sinking ship? Stay tuned. One things for certain, it’s still a whale of a tale. [IMG]

    Gus,

The answer to your question is “NO” What is happening now is that the Centro de Estudios Universitarios (The Center of University Studies) has decided to be more actively involved in the Graduate program (For their name’s sake) a point Mr.Serma was probably alluding to by his celebrated “we are looking pretty good”comment.

You must admit regardless of your likely ill-wishes for MIGS & or Ms. Danzig that a CEU
Active involvement will certainly be a positive development for MIGS.

    Enjoy your day
    Timmy.

I'm dying to know what the basis is for this assertion. The observable facts are:

There is nothing happening at degree.com or with MIGS.
    Arias is gone--and under investigation.
A huge judgment against them by Texas.
Still no license in Florida, but....
    Still operating in Florida.
No clarity regarding who (MIGS or CEU) will award degrees or how.
No clarity regarding the CEU's authority to award these degrees.
Nothing but lies, deceptions, and then silence.

There is absolutely no reason to conclude that the CEU either can or will provide sufficient oversight for MIGS. Nor is there even one shred of evidence they are even trying to do so. This is just wishful thinking.

If anyone is foolish enough to give these people any money, too bad. They'll likely end up with a piece of paper printed in Florida with a signature or two that will have absolutely no legal or academic meaning.

Please explain how you deduce from the information in my post that the CEU has decided to become more actively involved. (How you can purport to know what is in Mr. Enrique Serna’s mind, I don’t know, but I do not, however, discount the possibility that you may be the celebrated Mr. Serna, himself. [IMG]) Also, being that the CEU does not offer any doctoral programs at their campus in Mexico, how, precisely, are they going to get more involved? And what does changing the links to another domain have to do with it?

Changing to a new domain and all of the contact information from Mexico to Ft. Lauderdale does not indicate more involvement on the part of the CEU, however, quite the contrary. These new developments fly in the face of all the recent efforts at convincing everyone that all activities (including the Degree.com Web site) were based in Mexico.

And, for the first time, we see Sheila’s direct (instead of through a tangled Web of corporations and limited partnerships in a futile attempt to hide the true identities of the principals) involvement, as her email is the Registrant. I cannot imagine the Florida authorities are going to look too kindly upon this, as they have prohibited MIGS from operating in the state.

While I agree that the only thing that could possibly save MIGS (isn’t it funny how even you, someone who professes to have access to inside information, still refers to it as MIGS?) at this point is the involvement of the Centro de Estudios Universitarios. Not “more active” involvement (until now that have had absolutely no visible involvement including responding to the appropriate US authorities), but a complete overhaul of MIGS’s business model.

Even if that comes to pass, it is highly unlikely that the authorities in Florida and Texas would approve any kind of “virtual” school to offer degrees not offered at their home campus in Mexico. Moreover, they are likely to insist on a complete disassociation with the present principals (does Orion/LaSalle come to mind?), something that, naturally, would never come to pass.

I say go back and read my post again. I never said I new what is in Mr. Serma’s Mind. I merely stated that He might be alluding to a particular point with his Much Celebrated comment of “ We are looking pretty good”

(2)” but I do not, however, discount the possibility that you may be the celebrated Mr. Serna, himself.” I am not surprised that you now think that I am Mr. Serma. It is
a common tactics in this obscure little mind asylum (called degree info) to start nick- naming people who differ in opinions from those that the forum was set up to promote.

    (3) “(isn’t it funny how even you, someone who professes to have access to inside information, still refers to it as MIGS?) “ I never told you or anyone else for that matter that I am an insider with MIGS, although I was accused many times of being a MIGS AGENT, SALES REP, PART TIME SALES REP etc.etc. Yes I called the entity MIGS for simplicity. And why not? It is a CHIP I mean cheap name that suits the purpose of the other "GET MIGS" CRUSADERS.
    So long,

Timmy Ade going back to sabbatical leave.

    Another contest:

Now that it's been pointed out here (which we know Sheila reads), how long will it be before she has changed the ownership, probably (as she did with her bogus term paper writing service) to the name of her web development guy in India?

"Sabbatical leave"? Oh, please. Could this be any more transparent? This is why MIGS quickly became--and had remained--a bad joke. (And an expensive one!) Instead of trolling, I wish Sheila would come clean as to her intentions with MIGS instead of acting the poseur.

Timmy, IIRC, didn't you first pretend to just be someone looking for a school that was considering MIGS? So are you the grand lady herself?

  10. Ike posted that he has communicated with Timmy and that he's a "real person" not a pseudonym.

Even I know that Ade is a Nigerian name, having seen the great King Sunny Ade twice in concert at UC Berkeley.

Timmy is a real person and he is from my country. I have corresponded with him in the past. He may have an interest to pursue a doctoral degree program at MIGS but he is neither Sheila nor Enrique.
