Senate Hearings Underway Regarding GI Bill and Military TA benefits at FPs

I received an interesting message today from the President of APUS indicating that there are currently Senate hearings underway to explore the increase in the use of GI Bill and Tuition Assistance benefits being used by military personnel at online for-profit schools.

APUS had a representative before the panel on Thursday and by all accounts performed well and received some praise from the panel for their approaches towards serving military students.

Just thought I would throw that out there - it seems that there is something to the notion that the gov. is looking hard at the practice of using military benefits at FPs as we have been discussing in several threads.

 

Great info. Luckily it looks like APUS is one of the few that is being looked at in a favorable light as far as for-profit schools are concerned.
