    Greetings,
i have been perusing this forum for the last four days or so, and I have learned a lot, i mean a lot as regards DL programmes in Laws.
I would like to thank you all for a job well done.
I have a bachelor of laws, master of laws and a PhD and am currently toying with the idea of applying for a DL programme in laws or in political science.
    Regards

I am about to finish my application at Pretoria University.
UNISA closed its applications and I have to wait for the re-opening of their system to apply.
I finalized an application at SATS. I am planning to pursue a Masters by Research there on the subject of canonical law roots of contemporary law.

    Now, I'll wait and see.
    I hope I'll be allowed.
I am a Professor of Laws in my home country and I do this DL, just because I love studying and publishing. (Yeah lame. :) )

    Thanks Kizmet.
It is kismet at the end of the day.
    :D
Pretoria is not a DL institution BTW. I have read here that dissertation defenes and stuff are made via phone or online.
    I am counting on it.

    An update is due.
I have almost completed an application for a research degree at UWC.
I just have not paid the application fee.
As regards my other inquiries, I have received no replies, at all.
    One should not hurry, tho.

    Hello, and welcome to DegreeInfo!

Even if no one here has experience in the program(s) that interest you, this is a great support network for the often lonely experience of distance learning.

    Thanks a lot Bruca.
DI has been a great find for me and was an instant help the moment I ran into the website.
SA universities are obsessive (even anal) about SAQA Qualification Process, which irks me.
I have good qualifications -thank God for that- which seriously don't need any SA recognition, especially from a centralized government bureau.
Let the colleges do that for themselves, right?
SATS on the other hand looks to be fine. They are charging almost 4K for a DL masters tho!
For US, 'tis nothing. But for a hobbyist like myself, does it make any sense?
    I dunno.
But I like the professional way they are handling their correspondence. Fast and illuminating.
    Nice job so far...

    Update:
SATS has been amazing in its reaction time and forthcoming attitude.
That said, I have had the best vibe from ATS.
Auckland Park Theology Seminary is a classy institution from all those clues I gather.
Dr. Oldewage never sleeps or so it seems. He has been a constant source of information.
    I applied for SAQA...

I need some kind of motivation, for I have lost my appetite for an SA degree fellas and sisters.
I am definitely put off by the SAQA quals.
I applied, paid for it but did not send them my papers.
There should be a better way to qualify these degrees.
Thank God for SATS and if all fails, NationsUniversity...

SATS I understand, but since when does Nations University have research degrees?

I don't think they a have research degree at NU. But I liked the way they are presenting their courses. I downloaded the recommended book and it felt nice to read stuff about Old Testament to tell the truth.
NationsUniversity is still an ultima ratio for me, tho.
