Just browsing the forums. Have been following the traditional education route for the past 9 years. Not completely happy with my choice of a BS major even though its from a well established brick and mortor college. Its was just the easiest way to transition all of my AAS degree credits into a bachelor degree at the time. Being in IT in a rough economy its just difficult finding gainful employment for over 30k a year. Every interview I go to I need to explain what "Technology Management" is, as opposed to Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems. I do break/fix IT work right now and have learned plenty doing it, but that kind of work doesn't pay great anymore. I'm looking perhaps into a Masters in Information Systems degree right now with my Al Ma Matter. I have looked at on-line programs and am really skeptical. I'm not willing to go into student loan dept for a worthless or frowned upon degree. I'll go the extra mile with a brick and mortar school like my own if it has a better chance of paying off.

You're making it sound like you've already gone into a "frowned upon degree."

    How can we help?

Unfortunately a bachelor degree in management alone is sometimes not that valuable in today's economy.

If you list the programs you looked at you should get some feedback from members of this forum.

Perhaps you need a qualification that could add leverage to your bachelor degree - for example the MSQA would do that because most industries are short of people with quality credentials.
