I am thrilled to have found this forum. I took a course about distance learning (but I took it in PERSON) through Syracuse University while I was attending Rochester Institute of Technology more than two decades ago. I am an instructional designer and developed "touch screen" computer courses several years before I even heard the word "Internet." I developed web-based courses for a major software company when the only browser was "Mosaic," and it was black and white, and there were no images! We used a free HTML editor, "AOLpress." They've made millions selling that training. Since then, I've done a variety of instructional design work, including distance learning development, but I hadn't looked up and looked around lately to see what the rest of the world was doing. I AM AMAZED! For many years, I've wanted to develop my own online school for a specific niche audience. I think that finally, now is the time. I'm starting it from scratch on an extremely limited budget. So it should be a fun ride. I'm so happy to have found a community of such knowledgeable people.
