Don't want a full Masters degree? Peek at this . . . oh yeah, it's Harvard. https://www.hks.harvard.edu/educational-programs/public-leadership-credential
They sent me an invitation to apply today. Has anyone done it ? Doesn't really fit with my goals but... putting HKS on a resume might be worth the time
$2490 for a semester of work (or up to a year, including the capstone) seems pretty cheap for Harvard.
I like it a lot! Note some synchronous Zoom meetings with fellow students are part of the curriculum.
I wouldn't be surprised if it's mandated, but it might be worth inquiring (and noting your work as a first responder on shifts that limit you from synchronous appointments).
The PLC technically isn't credit per se, but completing the PLC can effectively function as credit towards the HKS Mid-Career MPA or the HES ALM, Government.
You pretty much can skip this, as it "Doesn't really fit with my goals". That's the main point, to add to your skillset, resume/CV, etc...
