https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lUKllT8eclc This is a good movie, but very painful to watch. The pain his mother must have felt. Another good clip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eOtFX5nUdRU
Sorry - won't be watching anything that man has had anything to do with - regardless. If he's going to have any (more) success, I don't want to have helped, even in the smallest way. Oops. Timed out. Let me clarify a little. Mr. Gibson is a sad miserable man, who lives in a self imposed prison of hate and alcohol. I did like this particular movie though. I have not seen any of his new stuff, and I do not intend to.
I have been busier than heck today in a good way. Johann, you made me think about something. I posted this without thinking ahead. While I may have liked this particular movie, and did a very dumb thing by posting this at all due to it being related to Mel Gibson. This thread may come up in a search engine somewhere, and paint this forum in bad light. I apologize to the forum and the forum members. Stupid Abner!
Not at all! I don't see how this thread could show the forum in any kind of bad light. You said something about the movie. That's perfectly OK. It received a great deal of attention - of every kind - when it was released. I replied that I won't be seeing it because I don't want to help Gibson succeed - due to things he has said. And I cited references. You then said you could understand that - and commented (fairly, I think) on Gibson's well-documented problems. That's it. The only thing here I really disagree with is the "Stupid Abner" remark. This maligns a very good, intelligent man, with whom we all enjoy communicating. You're way to hard on yourself, mi amigo. Cálmase. No se preocupe. J.
Gracias Johann. Eres un hombre muy bueno. Quiero ser como tu un dia. Translation for my non Spanish speaking brothers and sisters. Thank you Johann. You are a very nice man. I want to be like you one day.
Oh they definitely exist, just as the Masons definitely exist. The question is, What is their real mission? And to some extent, Who runs them? I'd like to add that this is a particularly big week in the Christian world. Good Friday is today and , of course, Easter on Sunday. I do not go to church as some others do but I have to wonder about the sermons that will be spoken on Easter Sunday in the middle of histories worst pandemic. I understand there will be a lot of online services. https://opusdei.org/en-us/
