Hello I need to transfer 18 MBA credits to an aacsb accredited school this fall any ideas? please let me know which schools
None of the schools that I know of that will take so many transfer credits are AACSB accredited. IIRC, University of Louisiana at Monroe (AACSB) would take 6 transfer credits, but that is about it.
Yep, 6 transfer credits is the typical max (if they accept that many). We have been discussing some non AACSB options over here, these do accept more transfer credits: http://www.degreeinfo.com/general-distance-learning-discussions/48706-help-mba-low-cost-maximize-transferring-credit-hours.html
Colorado State University at Fort Collin's MBA program is solid and good reputation, but you're trying to transfer out. Can you share the experience and possible you are taking different direction?
I would challenge the need for AACSB accreditation, per se. While AACSB accreditation tracks well with school rankings (an abomination, but a reality), there are seldom situations outside of academia where such accreditation is an issue. It can matter when (a) wanting a higher degree from an AACSB-accredited school or (b) wanting to teach for one. Also, as with all such things, it doesn't hurt to ask. Schools may not publish policies that will support your need, but exceptions can be negotiated. (They'll need a good reason and/or a solid WIFM for themselves before they do that, though.)
West Texas A&M will accept a maximum 12-hrs. in transfer credit toward its MBA (AACSB). West Texas A&M University: Online Master of Business Administration Degree
University of the Cumberlands will take all 18 of them towards their PhD in Leadership program. You will only need to finish 42 more units at around $13K total price for a regionally accredited terminal degree!
Just to make sure I am not building up false hope, do you mean that University of the Cumberlands accept 18 (non-doctoral) Masters degree credits towards its doctorate program in leadership even when one did not complete a masters program? If yes, this is cool- isn't it?
Here is the list of schools that accept transfer credits that I put together in 2012. AACSB was not a requirement when I built the list but there are a few of them in there. TAMUC - 12 Units University of North Texas - 12 Units Texas A&M Central Texas/Tarleton - 6 Units University of Houston Victoria - Inquiring, if you earn your first Masters at UHV then you can do a second one with 50% of the credits needed. UT Brownsville - up to 9 Lamar - 6 University of Houston - 6 Texas AM International - 9
Funny, they are all in Texas. There surely must be others outside the Great State of Texas. I think TAMUC should be TAMU-CC (Corpus Christi), just a guess.
