Hi , i have done electronics and communication engineering and have a one year work ex. GMAT score is 590 and IELTS 8. I have got acceptance in oth University of dallas and universityof massachettes, boston. i know that niether my schools are great nor my score. giving GMAT again is not an option due some personal reasons. Kindly help me out as to what to choose.
Both of the schools you mentioned are good schools but I think they are different in two or three ways. U Dallas is a private Catholic school. The fact that it's Catholic may be good for you, it may be bad for you or it might make no difference at all. However, the fact that it's private probably makes it more expensive (I confess I haven't checked costs). UMass-Boston is public and non-sectarian. It is likely to be less expensive. Both schools have good reputations and will provide a good education.
Go to the one you can spell. Alternately, go to the one with loose policies regarding capitalization, punctuation, etc.
Hmm. The schools in question operate in English. This board operates in English. The OP attempted to post in English. What possible relevance could my fluency in some other language have?
Nobody knows another person's situation. I say the OP should dream away and reach as high as he/she can. You may fall flat on your face. I'm sure there will be people like Rich to point out your weaknesses. I know I have had to pull myself out of nothing and look like a fool many times. I consider myself as someone who started at the absolute bottom of the barrel. I might have even been borderline illiterate. Thankfully there were folks like Rich who made dickhead comments that motivated me.
so before this degenerates into a flame war. Sonali it would be better if you could tell us exactly what you intend to study.
sonali, welcome to Degree Info. I admire you for venturing into a second language to study. That must be difficult. I wouldn't know how difficult it may be because I can't even speak a second language. Kudos to you. I hope we can help you accomplish your goals.
At first I was gonna agree with Rich, then someone indicated he made "dickhead" comments and I spewed coffee all over the keyboard. Damn what a mess! OP...U Mass is probably better known that U of Dallas by a pretty big factor if that matters to you. How did you come to rest with just those two? I gotta go get more paper towels, my office now smells like a starbucks.
