I agree that University of Georgia is in the list because been there and done that. Students there are party animals... However, I somewhat disagree with University of Virginia. The funny thing that these schools are top ranking schools. I guess students know how to balance between party hard and study hard.
The article mentions that only top-100 ranked schools (safe to say, we are probably talking about USN&WR rankings) were used for the survey.
I had about 15 of my high school classmates enroll at UGA. Only about 5 actually graduated from there. Most partied to hard their freshman year and either transferred or dropped out all together. arty:arty:arty:
Statistical validity isn't a relevant factor. It's just another subjective top-10 list, for enterrainment purposes only. Like listverse. Only much less entertaining.
So you're suggesting that the creators of such "top ___" lists are more interested in magazine sales than accuracy of research and reporting? I'm shocked! :smileeek:
My alma mater, Washington State University topped the Playboy top partying schools one time. We were all quite proud of the distinction. I did not read the article, there are other things to see in that magazine.
