A friend of mine is looking for an inexpensive online MSW social work degree, does such a thing exist? I have found several programs but all the ones I've seen so far are $500/credit or higher ... thanks
The University of North Dakota offers the following online programs: MSW for BSW students (36 credits) and an MSW for non-BSW students (60 credits). Tuition is $481.74/credit.
Masters in Social Work- Advanced Standing – Edinboro University Not sure of the cost... probably cheaper for residents.
UNISA has a very inexpensive alternative but the big question you'll need to get answered is will THIS degree Unisa Online - Postgraduate satisfy the licensure requirements of your state. If the answer is no then you shouldn't even think about doing it.
Just curious if anyone here familiar with Urban sociologist? I had someone saying they want to get a sociology degree dealing with urban development. I couldn't find anything on this.
UND would be my first choice. There are several other universities that offer online social work degrees, but they're well over the cost of UND. In fact, when I was looking at pursuing social work myself (and it may still happen), that was precisely the place that I had planned on going if I had no access to a brick-and-mortar school.
