In all the debate about DBAs I do not recall any mention of the Athabasca DBA. Fee is 50K Canadian Dollars and some residencies are required. www.mba.athabascau.ca - DBA - Online Doctorate in Business Administration
A quick search, based 60 units, shows returns these DBA fees (approximate): NCU $40K U of Phoenix $53K Walden $44K $50,000 Canadian = $48,400 USA today.
..so it's in the ball park... my next question would be whether or not Athabasca's reputation is received well enough in the USA and Canada to justify that cost...
I think a DBA from Athabasca can perform as well as any other DBA or PhD offered in Canada from a less known school. It can help to land a tenure track position at a small University or college. I believe the price is reasonable considering the american options. Although it might help a Canadian resident as the degree is from a respected Canadian school, I'm not sure if it would help a US resident more than one from NCU, Walden, etc. There are also some residence requirements for the degree that can be a problem for some Americans.
