I wanted to take the test before it is retired on 12/31/07. I finished in 15 minutes and scored an 811 out of 900. It was one of the easier tests but still looks good on a resume.
Randell, Congratulation, Sir! However, you took all the hardest tests before taking the easiest one? BTW, Why would you need it for your retirement?
Good score. My i-Net+ score was 780-something and seemed easy for me as well (A+ = the easiest). I passed i-Net+ 5 years ago this month. This Sunday, I'm scheduled for CIW-A. Semester breaks usually represent a great time to earn a cert or two.
I just returned from our nearby test center. My score on the CIW v5 Foundations exam (1D0-510) was 74/85. A score of at least 54/85 is required to pass.
Way to go Randell. Do you plan to take any of the 08 MS test? They've added a ton of new acronyms that no HR person is going to understand for years, and they're not updated the MCSE.
No, I looked at the Microsoft tests and did not recognize many of the new acronyms. I don't really do any technical work anymore (just management) so the certs won't help. The only ones I may go for is a Microsoft Certified Office User for teaching and a PMP.
Randell, thanks. By the way, if you ever take CIW-A (Foundations), you should thoroughly dominate that exam as well. The content found in i-Net+ is quite similar to CIW-A. I'm also looking at MOS for teaching purposes. An acquaintance of mine was able to secure a local CC adjunct position not only because of her master's, but also due to earning MOS.
