That was pretty good. It is kind of typical of how people think. I do believe, year after year, people are finally starting to get the concept of distance learning. DL degree are becoming more common, and thus more acceptable as well. Abner
Ellis recently had a contest asking students to post videos on YouTube describing what Ellis College means to them and how its helped them. I think the winner got an iPod or something like that. I don't think it was a big hit with students since everytime I logged on they had pushed the deadline back. I will say this - that was a good ad. The guy who did it should be very proud - he built a nice story, kept it funny, and held my attention for the entire time. The other new marketing ploy is offering students $10 in Amazon Gift Cards for every person they refer to Ellis.
Considering that online universities pay $20 per qualified lead from outfits like Classes USA and the like, handing out $10 gift cards for one makes very good sense. -=Steve=-
So if I were to set up my own site, qualify the leads, and sell them I could make $20 a lead? Even if I "only" got a $10 gift card, it could be worth my time. Hmmmmmmmmm, something else to work on in my spare time
