coding games for kids https://www.edsurge.com/news/2016-09-30-codespark-raises-4-1-million-to-bring-coding-games-to-kids
Glad to see CODESPARK "has raised $4.1 million in a seed round led by Kapor Capital." Over his long career, Mitch Kapor has been very influential - first in the development of spreadsheets and then development of the Internet itself, through the Electronic Frontier Foundation - and now with the Kapor Center for Social Impact, of which Kapor Capital is part. Mr. Kapor was head of development for Visicalc, the first commercially-available spreadsheet - and later, founded Lotus Corp., makers of Lotus 1-2-3 spreadsheet. I still have a copy of Visicalc (1982) and it still works perfectly. Looks better-than-ever on my big monitor under VDOS and Windows XP. CODESPARK - great project, great lead investor. For an old guy (73), I have spent an inordinate amount of time tinkering with kids' programming games and languages. Fascinating. Love 'em.
