    Ted - in another thread, you wondered how someone could get a HS diploma but be unprepared for college. Well, the above article shows a truly egregious example: 76% grads, only 32% of them prepared for college. That means only 24.3% of seniors graduated and were prepared for college. (.32 x .76)

    "The 3,300-student Jamaica Hills, Queens, school posted a 76-percent graduation rate in 2015, but only 32 percent of the grads were prepared for college, based on low Regents scores."

    How does it happen? By inflating grad. rates "by any means deemed necessary." :sad:

    Yeah, I noticed that there were a lot of students who graduated but were unprepared for college.
