Hello. I am going to trip you folks out a little. I already have a high school degree and numerous college degrees. I hate the high school that I graduated from 30 years ago. It is a creepy, private, religious high school in Georgia. I still have nightmares about it.

I want a high school diploma from another school. It could be Scooby Doo high school for all I care. I could do Penn Foster or James Madison High online. Or I could do a GED. If I go online, they'll want my transcripts and see that I already have a conferred diploma. They may not take me. I can lie to the GED people or "maneuver around the truth a little".

So do you guys think I should get a new high school diploma so I can distance myself from that creepy high school that I already graduated from, or forget it because it's old news and I graduated 30 years ago. You can be serious about your opinions.:privateeye:

You now have a BS degree, right? By earning a bachelor's degree, you have already distanced yourself from your old high school.

You are now a college graduate, not a high school graduate. So start thinking like one. Your high school diploma doesn't matter any more; it's about as relevant as the certificate that kindergarten teachers hand out to students when they get promoted to first grade. The only educational credential that matters now is your bachelor's degree (and any other degrees that you might earn in the future).

You have got to be kidding me. Who thinks like this. This is darn near spam.

No! You are just trying to waste of time and money. I don't even recommend for another Bachelor when you already have Bachelor and Master degrees. For my case, I don't even list my highs school in my resume. I don't even mention my high school throughout the year. However, I do list it on Facebook...not even on Linkedin.

Surely you can see that if this is where you're going with this that it's not the right choice?

Yep, see. There is a pattern to a lot of this OPs posts trying to find 'less-than-wonderful' ways out of student loans and 'less-than-wonderful' ways to represent her past and her credentials.

You are now the second one after me to notice this.

I know, 'lighten up'. I got it.

I have to ask, has anyone actually asked you -in 30 years- where you went to high school? I can see having to include it on some type of college or job application MAYBE. But, I'm going out on a limb and saying that short of your town in Georgia, is there another living soul on this planet that knows anything about your high school? If I told you the name of my high school (United Township High School) you could look it up (East Moline, Illinois) and you'd learn ________ what about me? What does that school in any way shape or form have to do with the kind of applicant, person, or worker I am today? Surely you've got 30 years of relevant life and work experience that outweighs 4 years of being a teenager?

    I get the picture okay.

Okay. I won't get another high school diploma. I am over it now.

In order for you to realize how good you have it, you need to know how bad it can be!! so now you know.

    Ed Edwards- you are funny.

Your cynical posts ad a certain level of spice to this website. I would equate it to chopped habanero peppers and powdered arsenic. Love ya man!
