I was surfing around and found the Trinity Southern website which says that TS is a branch of some old school named Recoleta in Argentina.

I was very curious about Recoleta and started to research it but I can't find so much as a mention about Recoleta except for the Recoleta " section " of Buenos Aires.

Anybody know anything about this school?

If you do a search in this very forum, you will find a detailed posting on Recoleta from manjuap from a month or so ago. I see thinking there to recommend it to anyone, other than risk-takers who want a fast cheap degree.

You will struggle to find anything at all about Recoleta University on the Web. In fact it does not seem to exist. In Trinity Southern's about us section it refers to it in the past tense and states that it stopped offering degrees in January 2003. The Trinity Southern University degrees are printed and shipped from Argentina, but will state Triinty Southern University , Texas ,USA. They are accredited to an outfit called NAPLAC, who again you will struggle to find out any information on at all, apart from a web page linked from the TSU site. See http://trinitysouthernuniversity.org/aboutus.html.
This site is regularly spammed to AOL members.

Well, there's always the Recoleta cemetery where Evita is (finally) buried, but I don't think they offer DL.

I know is a little bit late for an answer (just found this board), however this is the scoop on Recoleta Univeristy.... Can you say BOGUS??? ;)

I was born and raised in argentina and lived most of my life in Recoleta, so you can imagine how surprised I was when i was spammed through aol about this suppoused university. I had to laugh about the "founding fathers" of the University. The so called Jesuit Priest that 'founded' the school was a former president (Sarmiento) and Guido Suipacha (not Suipaca) was a famous battle and was named Suipacha (Guido Suipacha does not exist). The 'famous and elite' university is based on the Colegio Nacional de Buenos Aires (from where I graduated) that orignally when it was first opened did educated the elite male youth of Argentina. With time it became one of the best non-vocational schools in the city of Buenos Aires, something compared to graduating from Harvard.

So basically, the University of Recoleta does not exist and whatever is told in that page is an absolute scam. I wonder where all this can be reported to?

Feel free to email me if you have any questions :)

They said Sarmiento was a Jebbie??? Oh, that's funny.

    Welcome aboard, too.

    Hi Janko,

It is pretty funny actually, you should have heard my brother when I called him (he is still in Buenos Aires), and I won't even mention some of the colorful answers from the Argentina board I belong to. I have to tell you that the general consensus of us 'exis' (exiled argentines) is that only someone that was born and raised there would have been able to put all those details together. So we hung our head in shame!

    Recoleta

The Trinity Southern University "degree mill" scam uses the name Recoleta on their web page, but it is meaningless. These guys are a bunch of crooks! They also have a debt consolidation scam hosted on the same server using the same domain name! No shame here! Want proof? Check out

http://apc823.com/ (this goes to a Trinity Southern page)

    and then check out

http://apc823.com/debt/ (this goes to a debt consolidation page)

What do you think these guys REALLY do? If you want to see how embarrassing it can be for someone with a degree from Trinity Southern, read the article on the right side of the page of the Harvard newspaper shown at at

    http://www.people.fas.harvard.edu/~wrankin/radicalcartography/harvardcrimson.pdf

(You will need to have Adobe Acrobat or Acrobat Reader installed on your computer.)

Also, if you search for Trinity Southern University on a good search engine like Google you will find many referrences citing disgust with them. They are relentless spammers and scammers. If you are one too, then these guys are right up your alley!

AVOID RECOLETA AND TRINITY SOUTHERN! :(

    Dulce Porteña:

Actually, Juan Sarmiento is the father of president Domigo Faustino Sarmiento (Paula Albarracin´s husbabd).

Have you noticed too, that Sarmiento and Suipacha is an street intersection in downtown Buenos Aires? :D

    Luis:

Rafael is a spanich name and since he is mentioning Recoleta I assumed that he was from the beautiful Buenos Aires.
Roxana is saying that was raised in Argentina.

What about you? We can talk in Spanish if you prefer I am quite fluent in that language.

    :D ;)
