Perhaps Manjunath can give you specific information on TASMAC's legitimacy in India, or Cory on the UW connection. I have one reddish flag. A Dr Giri Dua, described as director of Tasmac, is shown on the website of Adam Smith University as one of its faculty. Is this moonlighting, or cause for real concern? ASU claims Liberian accreditation (though with no connection to the infamous SRU/NBOE operation), claims a Northern Marianas "charter" (ain't no sich critter according to the friendly folks in the Northern Marianas government and educational establishment), and has bounced from jurisdiction to jurisdiction. If Tasmac is OK in the eyes of the Indian government accreditation process and has a legitimate, clear, spelled-out affiliation with the University of Wales, then I would think it's OK. Please note the "if". If the connection with ASU amounts to nothing at present and Tasmac can explain it honestly and adequately, then it may be OK. Please again note the "if". For the moment, proceed with caution and hope for better info from other posters with specific expertise in the Indian educational establishment and on the University of Wales. Good luck to you.

George Korey is the founder of Canadian School of Management (CSM) and it has DETC accreditation. He is also the founder of CSM Institute of Graduates Studies (http://www.csmigs.org). However, CSM-IGS legal status looks like a mill. The government of the Province of Manitoba, Canada stated that at one time, the CSM was a registered business in Manitoba and advised that the CSM Institute of Graduate Studies has moved all of its operations to the Province of Ontario. CSMIGS website also states that it has degree-granting authority from the Board of Regents, Department of Education of the State of Louisiana. TASMAC (Training and Advanced Studies in Management and Communications), Pune, India is International Administrative office of CSM-IGS. Yet, TASMAC programs are validated by the University of Wales (http://tasmac.ac.in) I think Mansor Saki, the owner of Frederick Taylor University, holds his doctorate at CSM-IGS (http://www.ftu.edu/index2.htm)
