UNISA as a source of bachelor-level credits?

Greetings.

AFAIK, UNISA (www.unisa.ac.za) is a GAAP/RA-ish university with a wide range of reasonably priced, real paper undergraduate correspondence courses. Assuming I'm correct -- and corrections are welcome -- they would seem to be a fine addition to any undergrad distance learner's quiver. The question is, do they want to be? Are they receptive to students taking courses a la carte? (According to http://www.unisa.ac.za/Default.asp?Cmd=ViewContent&ContentID=7287 they would seem to be "NDP" student friendly, however they don't mention if they award credit for "NDP" studies, nor do they mention if prerequisites apply to courses taken for NDP.) Has anyone swum in UNISA's pool of knowledge merely to take some water elsewhere? <g> Experiences?

Also, if anyone has a URL for a Course Catalog (or whatever one would be called in SA) for UNISA, please post it. If a Course Catalog/Calendar/etc. (preferably with syllabus) exists on UNISA's web site, they've managed to hide it from me.

Off-topic, but possibly useful:
Another potentially swell source of bachelor-level, SA distance courses is Technikon SA (www.tsa.ac.za). (N.B. Their -- and UNISA's??? -- RPL scheme (Portfolio/"Life Experience" Credit program) is also less obnoxious than typical US schemes.) Regrettably, their "General Calendar" (http://www.tsa.ac.za/edu/advisor/gencal2003.pdf) does not mention NDP (Non-Degree Purposes) students at all. Those interested will need to make their own enquiries (and, hopefully, report back).
