Another time bomb explodes.

A top administrator at the National Autonomous University, Mexico's largest, was fired for using a counterfeit law degree diploma, according to the Chronicle of Higher Education.

The story didn't say how they found Manual Negrete out, but Mexico has recently implemented some major security measures on diplomas (which the US might well emulate), such as holograms, laser engraving, and special inks. Negrete claimed it was all political action by his enemies.
