On alt.education.distance, a question was asked about nutrition degrees in general, and four schools in particular. I replied there that all four have unrecognized accreditation, and are much less likely to be useful than those with recognized accreditation.

I see from the subject index to the 14th ed. of my book that one finds distance nutrition degrees with recognized accreditation at Acadia, Penn State, Edison, Bridgeport, Central Michigan, South Bank, and Keele universities.

Great suggestions -- and I also have it on good authority that the DETC-accredited American Academy of Nutrition may finally bite the bullet and fire up an M.S. in nutrition science sometime between now and mid-2002, which would be a nice thing.

    Peace,

    Hello,

I am looking to get my M.S. in Nutrition.

If anyone has any advice, opinions, insights on which of the following two schools (or any other schools suggestions) would be the better choice, I would greatly appreciate it!

    American Health Sciences University.

    Huntington College of Health Sciences.

Be sure to check out eatright.org (The American Dietetic Association) if you haven't already.

    One link from their site:

    Advanced Degree Prorgrams

BTW, the advanced degrees at that link "do not meet the requirements for the registration examination for dietitians."
