Question about USNews.com reviews

I will be finishing a BS in Information Services at UoP (on Campus) in October and am searching for a quality online Masters program to start later. I was looking at U.S. News.com's reviews and researching the colleges in their online section. I clicked a link on the side menu bar that took me to a link that offered the "PhD in 7 Days". I am surprised that USNews.com sells add space to these sites. Should I still trust their review's that they offer for $9.95 online?

 

I don't think that you should let ads on the site discourage you from buying or using the information contained on the site. An objective of USNews and other simialr sites is to make money. One of the ways they do that is by selling advertising space. US news has gained a good reputation from their school rankings info and I for one would very comfortable using their information as a factor in my decision regarding school selection.
