If you click here, you can see some slick multimedia clips / links on the far right of the UoP page. ;)

While I can't vouch for the quality of the academics at UoP, I must confess that their marketing techniques are the best I've ever seen.

Make sure you check out some of their clips by clicking on the multimedia links on the far right hand side of the page. They are pretty impressive.

One clip closed by stating that only 23% of women in the U.S. have a bachelors degree --> What a marketing slogan to get affluent women to enroll!!!

    It's all about money. ;)

Not nearly as good as Kennedy-Western. They've managed to highjack search engines so every hit returned (30+ pages on Google) links to a K-W advertising page.

Scummy as hell, but pretty slick.

That should be uopsuckedin2000.com, which is when that website seems to have had any substantive updates.

Do you have something against UOP?

Sure, "me again" has something against UoP. He claimed that he took two (?) classes from UoP that were below standard in his opinion. His diatribe against UoP seems perpetual and yet he wants to teach for UoP.

Software company accuses Phoenix university of theft

    "The Arizona Republic

The Federal Bureau of Investigation is looking into allegations that the University of Phoenix helped a local company take information from a San Diego software firm that had provided tutorials and student placement tests for the school."

I spotted this on my first look, ever, at uopsucks.com this morning.

    Caution: Canned Spam Ahead!!!

    Ike,

Are you a UoP graduate or a neutral party with an unbiased opinion?

If you're a UoP graduate, you should put it in your signature-line. :D

    The Saga Continues...

LOL --> No you're not!!! Go back and re-read your post. ;)

When I first discovered DegreeInfo.com a couple of years ago, the first thread that I read was about.... UoP!!!

    And the saga continues. :p

I thought UoP is accredited, and has been properly defended here. What is it with the bashing?

    cehi,

Please note that I have not bashed UoP in this thread, despite Ike's comments. I merely posted a link to a UoP website and asked readers to check out the snazzy advertising. I also commented that it is an expensive school. :)

OK, I've viewed the clips. They are really no more sophisticated than any infomercial.

Yes, it is all about the money. So is business. In short, my fellow students and I obtained business degrees from an organization that walks the walk.

    Cehi: Thanks for the clarification.

Me again: "I also commented that it is an expensive school."

Cehi: This comment, I agree with. A person has to spend lots of $$$$$ for the UoP Ph.D degree.
