I do most of my own checking but has anyone heard of this outfit?

My senior partner asked about it, said it looked interesting and asked me to do some research. The tailor made programs seem to be of interest to him.

By the way, this is really a serious question so don't even THINK about flaming my senior partner for asking about this place. He has attended and graduated with an undergrad degree from Stanford and a graduate degree from the London School of Economics.

the question should moreover be: why should anyone even THINK about flaming your senior partner when he considers obtaining a degree (for himself or for others, that doesn´t matter) from a totally unrecognised university which degrees are not even legally allowed to be used in the issuing country Switzerland?

(or have I overseen the fact that the issuing university is outside Switzerland and approved and accredited there on their website? THEN, and only then, it could possibly be appropriate to use the degrees...)

    Greets from the neighbour country,

SMC's Web site raises some serious red flags. Among the offerings that are very uncharacteristic of a legitimate institution are their Special Programs, which include granting a degree based exclusively on work or life experience, and granting a degree based solely on the degree from another institution.

A news article (in Spanish) about how several schools (among them the Swiss Management Center and Robert Kennedy—coincidence?) were closed by the Peruvian Ministry of Education due to the fact that they failed to adhere to legal and academic regulations can be found here. Swiss Management Center in Lima, Peru?

but I must admit that they have one of the best homepages I´ve ever seen from an (potentially) unaccredited university!

I had the same reaction Triggersoft. It has a very well designed layout.

I have seen nothing on their webiste to suggest they are not legitimate. They indicate an address in Switzerland and Poland.

Perhaps were are talking about the University of Switzerland here?

They are not on any list of officially approved universities in Switzerland, whcih clearly means their degrees are illegal to use UNLESS they might have an institution in another country (e.g. Poland) that awards their degrees legally (which is not stated at all on their website).
    It´s so easy like that.
