    Hello,
    U. of Phoenix courses online are $1266. At this price there must be quality, prestigious, ruputable well known schools that are alternatives to UoP. I'm looking for options for a BA/BS in Business or Finance. Afterward, I want to get a masters for Finanical Advisor/Planner.

    As always, Thank you!

    The "Big Three" all offer undergrad degrees in Business/Finance, which I would assume are cheaper than the Unversity of Phoenix.

    The "Big Three";

    Thomas Edison State College: TESC

    Charter Oak State College COSC

    Excelsior College Excelsior

    Hi,
    I'm willing to pay $1266 a course. I just think there are better programs than UoP at that price. $1266 seems to be on the high end and yet UoP does not come off as a high end school.

    Thank you

    If you take $1266 as the cost of a three credit course this works out to be a little over $400/credit, which (unfortunately) is low midrange.

    The best option is to find a program where you can get in-state tuition at a state college. At which you can probably drop it to about $200/credit.

    A few program (Texas Tech if I rember correctly) offers Texas residents a rate around $100/credit.

    The lowest cost (RA) option is TESC, COSC, or Excelsior.

  7. Quite a few state schools have good rates for state residents OR illegal aliens (seriously). :cool:

    I think the reason why UoP can be pricey is the same reason you pay more for groceries at a 7-Eleven than at a supermarket. You're paying for the convenience.
