Hello.. id like to hear your opinions about the ACCIS, are their courses good in quality and faculty assistance? i know they are DETC accredited.. and i am perfectly aware of the acceptance in the market. Anybody knows a cheaper alternative to a IT Bachelors besides ACCIS Excelsior and TESC?
    thank you

    Hi jra

If you use the search feature ACCIS has been discussed extensively. Overall the opinion seems that it is not a great choice. There are many better choices for about the same cost. Troy State University seems one of top contenders. If you have specific questions be sure to ask and whichever school you choose good luck.

By the accounts I've heard, ACCIS is, academically, a decent school. However, it is owned by Lloyd Clayton, the owner of a number of other nonwonderful schools, and the school itself has a long history of deceiving its students by advertising fraudulent accreditation, which it did up to the very day it received DETC accreditation.

Many of the regulars here believe that DETC made a grave mistake by ignoring its own policies requiring honesty and integrity in marketing and granting accreditation to ACCIS, and, indeed, the school's name was so badly tarnished that it had to change its name to try to separate itself from it's sleazy past.

Given that the people who made the willful and intentional choice to deceive students with fake accreditation are, as far as I know, still running the show, the fact that they acknowledged deceiving students in the name of "marketing", the fact that there are so many other excellent programs out there without the baggage, and that ACCIS is not a particular bargain, there is really no reason on Earth why ACCIS should be a top choice for anyone.

Well.. Chip thanks for your answer.. since i am from Peru.. $130 per credit hour is a good amount and i would be a big effort.. to pay for it... the completion time could be really fast since i i would only need 13-15 courses in order to graduate.. which other program offering a Bachelors in an IT related field that would take my peruvian credits and costs around the same would you recommend me?
