Question: Can anyone give an overview of Charter Oak State College? I am presently enrolled with American Intercontinental University's BBA program with 18 classes until completion. My AABA is from AIU also. A review of COSC, their admin, cost, completion times to degree, testing, etc would be appreciated. I enjoy AIU, however, the full time schedule along with my current employment is beginning to butt heads. Im a mid-career manager with a 70 hour work week. AIU will not allow one class at a time. Other school ideas would be helpful too! Thanks
Have you considered "testing out" for your business degree? That would free you from adherence to a class schedule. You could get a business degree from Excelsior through CLEP, DANTES and ECE tests and at reasonable cost.
I had no idea AIU wouldn't allow only one class in the BBA program. I am in the BIT program and we take one course at a time for 5 weeks. I don't find it much different from taking multiple classes though, trying to condense a course down into 5 weeks means you usually spend 3-4 hours a night doing work for the one course which as much as I put into doing 2-3 10 week courses on campus at my junior college.
You can likely test out of many of those last classes at any of the Big Three schools and be done in a very short time. I don't think if there's a way to say which of the three schools is the best, but as a group they are the best way to finish your degree when you have competing obligations.
AIU Yes, Under the BA the classes are double vs. IT. I will check with Excelsior also. Thanks for the information. Dave
