    Hello,
This is an excellent resource and now I'm interested in your opinion of my situation. Reviewing my courses below (approx. 87 hours college, 69 military) what is the quickest route to a BA or BS? My second option is a BA or BS in Business related fields. I may receive tuition assistance from my employer for undergraduate "Business classes". I'm interested in investing and finanical planning. There is a side of me that would like to just get the BA quickly, maybe through testing and then move on to my Masters.

    Thank you!!

You could try Excelsior College, Charter Oak or Thomas Edison (The Big Three). For a fee, Excelsior will evaluate your credits and tell you what courses or tests you would need to graduate, before enrolling. If you're planning on getting a masters degree quickly finishing you BS is likely the best way to go. I entered Excelsior with only a few more credits than you have now and was finished in a short time and quickly enrolled in a graduate program that I expect to finish in Dec. If you're in a hurry the Big Three schools are the best. I can recommend Excelsior based on my personal experiences as I'm sure others on this forum can about their experiences with the other members of the Big Three.

    Tuition increase - TESC

Good Morning, I expect to see a tuition increase shortly at TESC. If you are considering it an option I would act quickly. Hille

    Hey Lapu Lapu,

My crystal ball tells me you're in the USAF. It also tells me your are either a PMEL, BMET or avionics puke like me. Also, since you are looking for a quick bachelor's, my balls tell me you're either a SNCO who needs a BA/BS to help get promoted, you're about to punch out, or maybe you recently did. Of course, I could be wrong on each count...

But if not, I was in the same boat as you and even had some of the exact same "ELT" courses you had. I came here and 10 months later I'd earned a BA from Thomas Edison State College.

    Check out this thread:
    http://www.degreeinfo.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1346

Then do a search on "BA in 4 Weeks".

I highly recommend TESC. And if you're still on AD, you will pay in-state rates no matter where you live. I don't know why base education centers keep TESC and other "evaluation-type" schools such a secret. Maybe they want to maintain the captive audience atmosphere that on-base schools enjoy.

    Good luck anyway!

I was in a similiar postion. Several military credits, college credits, CLEP credits, and Microsoft exam credits. I looked at TESC, Excelsior, and COSC. I went with COSC because they were so easy to work with. A BS in Individual Studies from COSC allowed me to use 60 general ed credits and 60 elective credits. If you need a more detailed breakdown of required credits, contact COSC.
