Hello... i am from Peru and i have my college credits earned in my country... my credits are difficult to transfer to Excelsior, I was wondering if i may "credit bank" my peruvian credits and then transfer them to excelsior... thank you very much
Amigo, I believe that Excelsior will require that you go through an international evaluation agency to get your Peru credits approved for their degrees, as you can see in their page: http://www.regents.edu/is_ece.htm saludos
See Excelsior info for this To get credit for your foreign courses, Excelsior explains: http://www.regents.edu/is_ece.htm
You may be worrying about nothing: it's possible that External Credential Evaluators, Inc., will accept all your Peruvian credits. The fact that your Peruvian college(s) used semester-hours and a 120-credit Bachelor's degree will work in your favour. But if not -- well, just transferring them to another US college won't help. Excelsior got Western Illinois University's transcript showing the 11 credits for my wife's Certificate for Overseas Teachers of English, but what they considered was the original source: foreign credits, therefore ECE, therefore 0 credits. Can you "wrap" these credits such that Excelsior will view them differently? The two options I can think of are: (1) an Associate's degree from another US college. This should yield 90 credits, all lower-level (even if the original coursework was upper-level). (2) Portfolios. Neither option is cheap.
