  1. For those who want to transfer their experience in to an Undergraduate Bachelors degree.

Many respected and NACES member credential evaluation services offer a
recommendation of equivalency of persons professional or vocational experience.

For example for INS purposes of immigration each 3 years of experience are equal to
1 year of undergraduate degree program.

Now a good friend of my with AS degree from Israel and many years of experience in the same field
got evaluation that his equivalent AS + Experience equal to USA RA Bachelors degree.

In contrary to what is published the evaluation report from very respectful NACES evaluator helped him and he was accepted to deferent Masters - Graduate schools RA State universities and NA universities (DETC).

Maybe this is not a common practice and this is not done on regular basis but
this is a way to get recognition and equivalency for work experience without
going to unaccredited or less then wonderful school.

The evaluation alows him to print on his resume that he holds equivalent to US RA degree and no problems with employers.

Even if your experience is in USA and you never been to other country this can work for you.

    Good luck

I think it's unusual. Educational Credential Evaluators' application form (http://www.ece.org/Text/application.html) has separate checkboxes for "Further Education" and for "Immigration". My understanding is that they can be a lot more generous about "equivalencies" in the latter case than the former.

  3. I asked and he marked on the application form that he needed the report for Immigration, employment and further education.

I asked him the name of agency and name of schools he asked not to share this with the group because he didn't want people to contact the school or the agency and create problems for him or start pressuring the schools to change their policy.
But he was told that its case by case and not routine.
Plus AS degree (Handasai a two year program) from Technion Israeli Institute of Technology may be more than US AS degree based on the academic record and credit hours.

In some cases the evaluators are registers of the university or ex registers and their recommendations at this schools have good acceptance rate.
