I've been considering earning a second bachelors in accounting. However, just about every program I look at requires College Algebra. My algebra right now is VERY rusty. Has anyone taken the CLEP in College Algebra? If so, how difficult would you say it is?

    Thanks,

    Cy

I'm worse than you are in math, I'm sure. I took it, with very little study. Didn't pass, but scored a 48 when 50 would have passed. I purchased Barron's study text, "EX-101" on College Algebra. We'll see how it goes this summer.

    Chris,

Did you take the CLEP version or the DSST version of Algebra?
Do you really have to wait for 6 months?
Why can't you take the CLEP version if you did not pass the DSST version or vise versa?

    Thanks

    Mark,

I am sure you can take the CLEP College algebra if you failed the DSST funds of college algebra. However, these two exams are regarded as two different levels math. From most of the schools I have looked at, they consider fundamentals of college algebra dsst one course lower than CLEP college algebra. It is more of an Intermediate Algebra than College Algebra. Atleast according to some schools.

    Best Regards,
