My view of the Olford Institute has now been diminished.

    Unfortunately, I must agree.

    Shameful and bizarre.

  5. Please explain.

Would someone care to elaborate on this situation since some of us are not familiar with the school? I'm curious about the "good" reputation it apparently once had.

If I'm not mistaken, I think I once saw Stephen Olford in a full-page ad in Christianity Today endorsing Trinity/Liverpool.

    Re: Please explain.

It could be that they were not issuing bogus degrees and advanced degrees in the past. Perhaps only certificates.

Hi Roscoe: I don't know much about Olford, except that he is a well-regarded eevangelical preacher. The problem is MDS, a shadow school of Trinity Newburgh. MDS' "degrees" are absurdly easy and the connection to TTS Newburgh is not dealt with forthrightly by reps from either school. Search for earlier threads on Masters Divinity School or MDS, or wade through the huge pile of stuff on Trinity Newburgh, for more information.

Bear in mind that Trinity Newburgh has NO connection to Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Illinois, and that Masters Divinity School (Evansville) has NO connection to The Master's Seminary in California. TEDS and TMS are both reputable institutions.

    Roscoe,
Master's Divinity School has never had a good reputation - but Stephen Olford and his preaching school has. And yes, Olford and his school did/does (?) have a relationship with Trinity of Newburgh, which is not good, but MDS is even worse. I guess I'm having trouble accepting the fact that he would stoop that low.

  10. BLD,

Thanks for the clarification. I see your point.
